Well, camp is over and we all survived! It was a wonderful week but we were all exhausted when it was over. There was hardly a moments rest the whole week. The kids really enjoyed the services and the activities. They made some new friends and caught up with some old ones. Here are a few pictures and videos I took during the week.
Looking across the pond to the main building on campus, the cafeteria and shower house. That's where they ended up parking us. It was pretty convenient but we felt bad about being right in the middle of everything.
A short clip of the youth choir practicing one afternoon. They sang several times in the evening services and it was always a blessing.
Isaiah in his camp shirt. The theme was "Born to Fly" (in the Rapture!).
Jeremiah came in from playing and was absolutely filthy! It's hard to see in the picture but he had dirt from head to toe. I guess you could say he had a good time that afternoon!
Michaela and one of her friends playing air hockey.
Zoe Greeley and Mariah Holloway, two girls from our church.
The kitchen crew hard at work. Michael was on the indoor grill that day cooking grilled ham and cheese sandwiches.
The deck and lake that was in front of the RV. Not a bad view for a make shift camp site, huh?
Mariah Holloway and Andrew Glover......sweethearts. :-)
Michaela getting signatures on her camp shirt.
Some girls in Michaela's dorm.
Another view of the campground.
Isaiah visiting with some of the preachers and camp helpers.
Jeremiah waiting in line to go zip lining again. I think he was there every time it was open.
Show Off!!!
Michael and Bro. Matt slaving over a hot grill on one of the hottest days of the week. Gotta love Michael's creative head covering!
Finally finished....Good lookin' grill chef!
Bro. Matt and Michael enjoying a rare moments rest. We really enjoyed getting to know their family. Hopefully they will come down to NC to visit sometime.
The kitchen crew in our new aprons.
We sang in both church services one night. We were always singing in the kitchen so the camp directors wanted us to sing a special in church.
Michaela and some of her friends singing a special in church.
Hannah Pascual (from our church) singing with friends.
Jeremiah got to participate in one of the services. The preacher was demonstrating how the devil tries to bind us with different things so that we won't be able to worship the Lord. He was wrapping them up with saran wrap.
The big tabernacle where Isaiah went to services.
Campfire singing and testimony service.
Isaiah and Bro. Mike Severt, the original director of the camp.
Bro. Noel and Sis. Shirley Johnson enjoying the campfire service.
Zoe Greeley giving her testimony. It was wonderful to hear so many good testimonies from the young people that night. God was certainly at work in their hearts that week!
